TRAFFIC DISRUPTION

Once again I have to refer to disruption south of Moyvane Village. A meeting was held in the Marian Hall Tuesday night of last week, a fractious meeting with a lot of locals airing their dissatsfaction and no wonder. Representatives from An Bord Gais and Murphy GMC were represented at the meeting. Arising out of the meeting signage was improved and the road from Moyvane Village to Gale Bridge was reopened, with traffic lights, for the weekend. This made a huge difference to those who live on that side of the village. We will have to wait and see how the whole thing pans out but at least we have got the companies involved talking to the locals and members of Kerry County Council finally came on board. It’s not going to be easy and unfortunately it will take a long time.

GAA LOTTO

There was no winner of this week’s Lotto Jackpot of €3,200. Lucky Dip winners of €40 each were Charlene Mulvihill, Leitrim West, Moyvane. Nadine, Ned & Marguerite Stack, Moyvane South. John M.
