THE West Kerry Board would like to congratulate Peter Keane and his Kerry Minor Football Team on winning the All Ireland Minor Final in Croke Park last Sunday against Derry, Kerry 6-17 to 1-8 Derry.
This win makes it a historic four in a row All Irelands for the Kerry Minors and when you consider the turnaround of players at Minor level the enormity of this achievement is a testament to the great work being done in the county at schools and underage level.
The West Kerry Board would like to say well done to all involved especially the West Kerry contingent of Dingle’s Deividas Uosis, Annascaul’s Cathal Ferriter, An Ghaeltacht’s Franz Sauerland and Dingle’s Mark Ashe on the Kerry Minor Panel and to Chris Flannery and Tommy Griffin on the Kerry Minor Management Team! THE quarter-finals of the Garvey’s SuperValu Kerry Senior Football Championship will be played this weekend.
A feast of football is guaranteed with two double headers on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 in Austin Stack Park, Tralee and Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney respectively.
Paul Quinn and his West Kerry Senior Football team will be in action against Austin Stacks on Saturday September 23 at 5.45pm in Austin Stack Park, Tralee. The dream of championship glory for West Kerry is very much alive and they will relish an opportunity to get one over this Austin Stack team.
