WIND FARM MEETING
Public Information Meetings: NMWT@Ballylongford (No More Wind Turbines @ Ballylongford) will be holding two public meetings to provide information on the proposed Ballylongford Wind Farm, for which a planning application for a further 8 Wind Turbines to the south of Ballylongford, has now been submitted (planning application 17/902). The meetings will be held as follows: Ballylongford Parish Hall - Saturday, 30th September at 7.45pm. Asdee Community Hall - Sunday, 1st October at 10.00am. All are welcome to attend. The Alzheimer’s Day Care Respite Centre based in Listowel are presently looking for volunteers to help them with their busy workload. Are you a caring person, do you have time to spare? OBITUARY
The Death of Eileen O Brien, Flemingstown, Annascaul occurred last Tuesday. Eileen was very outgoing, popular and well liked and along with her late husband John Paul had friends all over the county. Eileen was secretary of the Kerry branch of Múintir na Tíre for many years, encouraging and promoting community development in rural areas. She was laid to rest in Ballinclare Cemetary, Annascaul following requiem mass celebrated by Fr. Gerry Keane PP, at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Annascaul.
Eileen is survived by her nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and many friends and neighbours. Her husband John Paul predeceased her. R.I.P. Small Hall on the following date at 1pm: 26th September. For house visits contact Michelle, Active Retired on 087 787 1845.
