performance earlier from the maestro himself Gerard Mulligan gathered a big crowd mad for singing and dancing centre stage in Camp Cross outside Ashes Bar.

And the ICA were in the Old School all day serving refreshments in aid of Kerry Hospice. The traditional mutton pies were dished out all day at Ashes Bar and Restaurant, O Dwyers/Mace and and at Fitzgeralds, Junction Bar and Restaurant. Mary Casey from Acres, Annascaul once again celebrated her birthday in Camp, 83 years young on 18th September, Mary was as always in full voice, singing Barbara Allen in Ashes, a very old song and she had it word perfect.

It is lovely to see the old tradition kept going and thanks to all who came to Camp on Monday and made our day, and Christy Deane has once again captured the excitement and joy and fun of the fair on video, another piece of history to cherish for Camp people all over the world,

COUNTRY MARKET

Several of the Summer Country Marketeers decided to try to extend the market for the month of September. It’s called the Harvest Market and it’s a bit of an experiment. Tom is selling his vegetables, Sharon is selling her books & the publications available in the Information Officer and Phil is trying out some new recipes and would like your opinions. So come along to his =91tasting table’. Of course, he has some tried and true standbys also. Come along and see what strikes your fancy!!! It’s also a good time for a chat because there’s not the throngs of people.
