The dream is still alive for Paul Quinn’s West Kerry
WELL done to Paul Quinn and his West Kerry team who defeated Austin Stacks in the quarter-final of the Garvey’s SuperValu County SFC in Austin Stack Park, Tralee last Saturday by 1-17 to 0-14.
The dream of championship glory for West Kerry is very much alive as West Kerry play Dr. Crokes in the semi-final in Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney on Saturday, October 7. Beir bua agus beannacht!
Lee Strand U-16 Championship
WELL done Johnny Lenihan and his West Kerry Under 16 football team, who qualified for the Under 16 County District Championship final by defeating Coiste Trá Lí last Saturday in Listry by 6-12 to 0-3. West Kerry will play East Kerry in the Final.

Páirc an Ághasaigh
TO mark a 100 years since he died for Ireland, Páirc an Ághasaigh, Dingle was rededicated to Irish Patriot Tomás Ághas last Sunday September 24.
Dingle Fife and Drum Band followed by GAA members and supporters from all clubs, along with Tomás Ághas family relatives marched around Dingle town and local historian Pat Nelligan gave a talk about the life and times of Tomás Ághas at the Memorial on the Mall.
At Páirc an Ághasaigh Micheál Ó Conchúir outlined Tomás Ághas exploits on the playing fields of Kerry after which Fr. Begley blessed and Rededicated Páirc an Ághasaigh in his honour.
Two Arbutus Trees were planted and a Commemorative Plaque was unveiled by Tomás Ághas family relatives and Cathaoirleach of South and West Kerry Muncipal District Cllr Seamus Cosaí Fitzgerald.
Cathaoirleach Bord Chiarraí Thiar Muiris Ó Fiannachta proudly explained that every year all Teams competed in the West Kerry Championship for Corn Tomás Ághas.
