ASDEE ROVERS

Asdee Rovers began the new season at Craughdarrig Park on Sunday morning with a home tie against Listowel Celtic.

The new management team had a very strong panel of players on duty but they found it difficult to break down a resiliant Celtic side who went a goal up in the first half.

A Darren Murphy strike brought the game back to parity and set the scene for an exciting conclusion.

Asdee had a chance to win it late on but they were denied by a great save by the Listowel Celtic goalie Shane O Sullivan.

They are in action again at Craughdarrig Park next Sunday morning with a home tie against The Park and the kick off is at 11 30am.
