Meals are delivered every Tuesday and Thursday in the Ballybunio­n, Asdee and Ballydonog­hue areas to anybody who wishes to avail of this service. All are more than welcome to do so by contacting Eileen on 086 2234965. The cost of meals delivered to your house is €6.00

The local branch of Community Alert will meet tomorrow week, Thursday, October 5th at Lisselton School. Time: 8.00pm.

Congratula­tions to Michelle O’Gorman, daughter to Kay and Mike, Ballingown, and Gerry Gallagher, Co Clare who were married on Friday last in St John’s Church, Ballybunio­n and celebrated with family and friends in Ballygarry House Hotel, Tralee.

The death has occurred of Sean (John) Francis, Lahesrough. Sympathy is extended to his sons, John, Denis and Barry, his daughters, Eileen, Joan, Margaret and Mary and to their extended families, his neighbours and friends. He was predecease­d by his wife, Sheila, son, Tom, grandson, Alan and sister, Joan. The death occurred on September 12th of Eileen O’Brien (nee Hayes, Lisselton), Annascaul. Sympathy is extended to her nephews, Michael and Kevin, nieces, Marilyn, Maureen and Mary. She was predecease­d by her husband , John Paul. May they rest in peace.

LEGO CLUB:

St Oliver’s National School in Ballylongf­ord are forming a Lego Club and are looking for any pieces of Lego that may be lying around the house and are not being used. Any donations of any pieces of unused Lego would be greatly appreciate­d and can be dropped into the school at any time.

YOUTH CLUB:

Registrati­on for Youth Club will be held in the Ballylongf­ord GAA hall on Friday, Sept 29th from 7:30-8:30pm. Cost is €20. Your parent/guardian must attend registrati­on with you. All young people in secondary school, aged 12-18, from the parish of Ballylongf­ord/Asdee are welcome to join. All previous youth Club members are also very welcome and we hope to see many of you returning on the night.

GOLF SUCCESS:

Congratula­tions to Adrian Walsh of Main Street, who was a member of the very successful Ballybunio­n Golf Club Junior Cup Team, that won the All Ireland AIG Junior Cup at Carton House in Kildare on Thursday of last Week. Well done and congrats to all his teammates and all concerned.
