The October ceili in Halla Tadhg Gaelach, Tournafulla will take place on Friday night week, Oct 6. Dancing will commence at 9.30pm.

DANCING CLASSES

Set dancing classes will recommence in Halla Tadhg Gaelach, Tournafulla on next Tuesday night, OCt 3 at 8.30pm.

CPR TRAINING

Irish Heart Foundation certified training in CPR use of a defibrillator and Phesc (treatment of a stroke) will take place in the ADSAR building, Killarney Road, Abbeyfeale on Sept 27 from 6pm to 10pm. Please contact Mary Lyons at 087 7710327 to book a place.

GAA LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner in last week’s Mountcollins/Tournafulla GAA clubs lotto where the numbers drawn were 1 7 14 22. The winners in the lucky dips were Johbn Larkin, Tournafulla; MA Cooper, Mountcollins; Nora Hurly, NCW and Pat Murphy, Mountcollins. Promoters prize Seamus O’Sullivan.

This week’s jackpot will be €4100. The draw will be held in Tommy Micks Bar, Mountcollins.

BLOOD DONOR CLINIC

The Blood Transfusion Service will hold a donor clinic in Colaiste Ide agus Iosef, Abbeyfeale on Monday next, Oct 22 and Tuesday, Oct 3 from 6-9pm.

UNDERAGE FOOTBALL

Well done to the local National School football team who had a good win over KnocknasnaNSin the first round of the West Limerick schools competition.

The Mountcollins under 8 footballers will have their final outing of the year on Sunday next, when they travel to take part in a blitz in Quaid Park, Coolyroe.

The under 6 and 8 teams had their final training session of the year on last Tuesday evening. Team manager Michael Lenihan and the players would like to thank county footballer Ian Corbett who was on hand to answer questions from the players, pass on advice on training and matches and pose for photogeraphs.
