Park and Killorglin win on opening day of U-16 Premier
U-16 PREMIER
THE opening games of the Tralee Trophy World U-16 Premier Division saw wins for Park and Killorglin. At Christy Leahy Park the home side were 7-2 winners over Killarney Athletic after leading 3-1 at the break. Nathan Holden, Terrance Carmody, TJ McMahon, Mervyn Shalemba and Jack Carmody (3) were the Park’s scorers.
Killorglin were 5-1 winners at home to Ballyhar. Stephen O’Loughlin scored four with Callum Russell getting the other Killorglin goal while Craig Boyle O’Sullivan replied for Ballyhar.

U-16 DIVISION 2
THE Park B were 3-2 winners over Fenit in a game of two halves. The Park dominated the first half and were 3-0 up at half time thanks to goals from Robert Kerins, Jacob Radulescu and Sylwester Tranfy. The Park hit two of their goals in quick succession in the 20th and 22nd minute and got the vital third in the 35th minute.
Fenit came out a different side after half time and Gavin Burroughs pulled one back with a volley five minutes into the second half. Gavin was again on the mark five minutes later when a quick free kick caught the Park defence napping.
The Tralee side upped their defensive intensity and held out for the win despite Fenit pushing hard to try and find an equaliser.
