COISTE NA NÓG
As the rest of the village was preparing for the county senior hurling final, the under 13 footballers were taking care of some business of their own. The Tommy Madden Cup semi-final clash between Ballyduff and St. Senan’s took place on Sunday morning in Ballyduff. After trading points at the start, the hosts began to stamp their authority on the match with a powerful Ray McGrath goal.
They immediately pressurised the visitors on their kickout and managed to register a number of additional scores before Senan’s knew what hit them. In the open field, Aodhán Curly bossed the play. Support runners and sweet kick passes were on display in all corners. Some lovely points rained down while a further 4 goals were scored before it was all over. It would be difficult to find any area of play to criticise. So it’s on to the final next Sunday October 22nd where another top performance will be required. Well done and best of luck to the team and trainers!
