Great day as Duagh hosts its first-ever Vintage Rally
DUAGH’S first-ever Vintage Rally went down an absolute treat recently as hundreds poured into the hilly village from all over North Kerry and west Limerick for a date with antique machinery and a whole load of fun-filled family events.
Organisers say they were delighted with how this inaugural event played out and it is now firmly looking like an annual fixture on the North Kerry calendar of community gatherings.
It’s the Duagh Development Association which is responsible for the Vintage Rally - on the back of their hugely-successful Tractor Run held on Sunday, September 3, last.
Such was the response to the tractor run that time that the Association felt it was fairly opportune to provide an even bigger platform for agricultural vintage craic.
The rally saw the vintage cars, motorbikes, bicycles and trucks heading on a 30km trip and the tractors traversing a 16km route through the rolling countryside.
