Kerry Senator launches Mental Health report
A SENATOR from Kerry has described the recommendations put forward in an Oireachtas Report on Children’s Mental Health Services as a valuable and timely addition to the ongoing review of mental health services.
In his role as Chairperson of the Seanad Public Consultation Committee, Senator Coghlan launched the report this week. He praised engagement from the likes of clinicians, doctors, psychiatrists and psychologists and said the presentation showed that investment in early intervention will reduce the number of crisis cases and secure savings in the future.
“We look forward to engaging further with Deputy Jim Daly, Minister of State with special responsibility for Mental Health, who I know takes a strong interest in the issue,” Senator Coghlan said.
