Happy scenes at Kerry ETB grads
OVER 150 students from across the county gathered at the Rose Hotel in Tralee on Thursday night as the Kerry Eduction and Training Board held its Autumn 2017 graduation ceremony.
In all 620 certificates were issued by Kerry ETB Training Centre to students who have completed 57 courses with the education and training board.
Graduates were joined by their family and friends at the ceremony which saw the Rose Hotel packed to the rafters for the evening.
Awards were presented on the evening for courses completed both as full time day courses and part time evening courses. Certificates were presented in the following courses:
The night’s special guest was CEO and Technical Director of Causeway based dairy tech firm Dairymaster Dr Edmond Harty who delivered an inspiring address to the assembled Kerry ETB graduates.
On the night a special proze was awarded to Kerry ETB beauty therapy student Ciara Daly who has enjoyed a very successful year.
Last February Ciara won the Irish National Skills Competition and she later went on to represent Ireland at the China International Skills Competition in May where she won a bronze medal.
Ciara was unable to attend Thursday’s celebration as she was one her way home from Abu Dhabi where she was part of the Irish team that took part in the prestigious World Skills competition.
