Weather causes postponement of Captains’ Challenge and Dr Billy Final
THE weather has a nasty habit of putting a jinx on golfing fixtures and last weekend was no exception as Storm Brian forced the cancellation of The Kerryman Captain’s Challenge at Castlegregory.
All participants were notified in advance by the organisers and the event has now been re-scheduled for Saturday, October 28 (weather permitting) with a 10.30am shotgun start.
The final of the Dr Billy O’Sullivan Shield between Kenmare and Dooks at Parknasilla was also cancelled but at the time of writing, a new date had yet to be communicated to me. Tuesday Voucher Competition – Old Course
