Sympathies
PATRONS at Tralee Track on Friday night were saddened by news of the death of Ned Purtill, of Ballybunion, who was a tremendous supporter of the Oakview venue for many years. It was always a pleasure to meet and converse with him and he was badly missed when fading eyesight forced him to end his association with the track.
He was buried in Ballybunion cemetery on Monday of this week and all Kerry doggy people (and GAA people, because he was a very prominent North Kerry footballer) will extend sympathy to his wife, Maria, his children, his brothers and sisters, grandchildren and extended family.
Sympathy also to the sister and family members of the late Sean Wynne, of Tralee and Castlegregory, who was a well-known figure at Tralee Track back the years.
