District team made up of Abbeydorne­y, Finuge St Senans & Beale/Ballyduff. Well done to Abbeydorne­y players who played a strong part especially to Kilflynn girls Maria Savage who captained the victories side and Amy O’Connell and Katie Corkery who also played their part in the victory. Melanie Higgins received the Player of the match. They defeated Tralee District in the opening game & Castleisla­nd District in the final. Abbeydorne­y Players were: Aisling Hannafin, Melanie Higgins, Maria Savage, Katie Hussey, Emma Woods, Amy O’Connell, Katie Corkery & Katelyn Leen. Congrats girls

COME AND TRY HURLING: Crotta O’Nell’s Hurling Club will host come-and-try hurling sessions for boys and girls of Dromclough National School in St. Senan’s Sports Hall, Mountcoal on Saturday nights from 5.30p.m to 6.30p.m. The sessions are for children from 3rd and 4th class.

Hurleys and helmets will be provided. The hurling come-and-try sessions are free and will run for for 4 weeks.
