DIVISION 4 FINAL

THE St. Oliver’s Killarney boys produced yet another fine performance to claim this Division 4 title against a gallant CBS Tralee team appearing in their first final for some years. Lively midfielder Alex Hennigan registered a goal and a point to give his side the lead.

CBS responded with a well executed goal from full forward Colm Browne. Colm slotted the equalising point but the talented Timmy Moynihan burst through for a fine goal. Ryan McCarthy added a point but again CBS fought back and forwards Tyrique McCarthy and Colm Browne combined well with Tyrique finishing to the net to leave his side trailing by the minimum at the break. St. Oliver’s 2-2 CBS Tralee 2-1.

The second half was competitive but St. Oliver’s registered the all important match winning scores with a well finished goal from Ryan McCarthy, two points apiece from Alex Hennigan and Enna Kearney and a fine effort from the impressive Katie McCarthy.
