life as Pat Joe Keane came from the townland of Lenamore. Eileen and Pat Joe moved just five miles away to the neighbouring village of Tarbert where they began their married life together. The happy couple spent all their adult life in Tarbert and it was from there that they lived a happy and successful life in which their family was complete with the arrival of their daughter Maureen and son Pat. Eileen was a quiet and gentle lady who doted and prided herself on her family and she was also a very talented woman and an expert at Crochet Work which is a very rare talent now a days and dates back to ancient times. It is a delicate art of lace making and needle work of which she was gifted. A wonderful mother, wife and neighbour she was held in the highest esteem of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. As her own children became adults and they settled and had their own families the pride of becoming grandparents and indeed great-grandparents meant everything to them. Sadly a huge void has now been created amongst all whom knew this lovely woman but it is her family that will see the biggest void and it is to her beloved husband Pat Joe. daughter Maureen (Friel), son Pat, son-in-law Jim, daughter-in-law Patricia, brother Ned, sister Theresa, grandchildren Brian, Amanda, Elaine, Melissa and Patricia, their mother Ann, great-grandchildren James, Leah, Barry, Killian, Tadgh, Reiltin, Bobby, Saoirse, Malachy, Laoi and Donnacha, sister-inlaw, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, relatives, neighbours that our thoughts prayers and sympathies are with at this sad time. Eileen’s body reposed at St. Mary’s Funeral Home, Tarbert, on September 28th, from 6pm before being removal to St. Mary’s Church, Tarbert. Requiem Mass took place at 11am on September 29th followed by Interment at Lislaughtin Abbey, Ballylongford. Ar dheis dea go raibh a hAnamn dilis.
