Congratulations to all the pupils in Kilmoyley National School who received striking and original certificates for their art work in the recent Credit Union Poster Competition. The awards ceremony took place in Causeway Comprehensive School on Wednesday Kilmoyley National School is participating in the Travel Maintenance Project, a Green Schools initiative focusing on promoting walking, cycling, car pooling and sustainable means of transport. Kilmoyley Green Schools committee welcomed Travel Officer, Angela Wall to the school on Monday 13th November and spoke to the children about the importance of “smarter travel” in helping to keep the environment clean and healthy.

The death recently took place of Thomas (Tom) Dineen of Ballinvoher whose funeral Mass was held on Monday with burial after in the New Cemetary, Kilmoyley. The death recently took place of Teresa Diggins née Brick, Causeway & Kilmoyley with interment afterwards in St. John’s Cemetery, Causeway.

DEATH took place on Monday 13th November 2017 of Robert J Connor, New Jersey and Kilbaha, Moyvane, and Galway. Survived by his wife Marie (nee Stack), he was father of Margaret (Maltby) Eileen (Bernau), Katie and John and grandfather of Grace, Jack & Julia Maltby and Delia, Luke and Connor Bernau, nieces, Mary Abberton, Deirdre Walsh and Eithne Henry, nephews Mait, Ruairi, Conchur and Colm O’Bradaigh and Alex, Luke (deceased) Jimmy and Patrick O’ Connor, sons-in-law: David Maltby & Eddie Bernau and daughter-in law Angela Hopson. Son of the late Luke and Barbara Connor (Galway). Brother of James and his wife Mary (both deceased) and Patricia Uí Bhrádaigh and her late husband Ruairi, in-laws Eileen & Paudie Hanrahan, John & Mary Stack, Maurice & Betsy Stack, Eddie & Mary Stack and their families. Requiem Mass for Robert was celebrated on Wednesday, at Corpus Christi Church, Knockanure. Celebrants were Fr. McNamara, Fr. Nolan and Fr. O’Callaghan. Gerard and Stephen Donegan, sang the hymns.
