ART EXHIBITION

On this Sunday December 3rd at 7.00 pm in St. John’s Theatre and Art Centre, Listowel, Billy Keane will open an exhibition of paintings by local artist Bob Scott. This is Bob’s first solo exhibition, featuring a selection of Bob’s larger paintings done over the past twenty years, Focusing broadly on North Kerry, in an accessible realistic style, Bob’s paintings often take an oblique look at their subjects, so this is not so much a set of paintings of well-known places, as a personal view expressing Bob’s love for the area. The title of the one-man show - which is "Beautiful North Kerry" - underlines Bob’s belief that a painter must express his feelings about places as much as their appearance. The exhibition runs until December 22nd.
