Maisy’s celebrates its first anniversary in Kilflynn
JADE Moynihan is celebrating a very important milestone this December as it marks the first anniversary of Maisy’s Restaurant in Kilflynn village. It has been an eventful year for Maisy’s (named after her mom), but they have succeeded in putting down roots in what is a great village.
“We’ve had huge support in our first year and our customers have just been brilliant. It was difficult at the start but we got there in the end. I couldn’t say enough about the people from Kilflynn who have been so good to us. You won’t find nicer than Kilflynn people,” Jade said.
Jade explains how the first year at Maisy’s was all about concentrating on establishing the restaurant, but to mark the first anniversary Maisy’s will now be providing an outside catering service delivering buffet food for private parties, christenings, confirmations and communions.
“A lot of people host parties at home nowadays and we just decided it would be great to offer a food delivery service, in conjunction with the restaurant, so we’ve starting doing this since December.”
A steady flow of diners also travel from Tralee to Maisy’s (only a 10 minute drive) and it’s the perfect atmosphere for an evening meal and a get-together. The menu is extensive and consists of breakfast options, afternoon snacks and appetisers, while Maisy’s also provide a very popular early bird menu.
“We’ve changed our menu once already this year as we like to keep it new and wide-ranging. We also have a lot more to offer in the line of in-house baking with fresh cakes, breads, scones and birthday cakes made to order. Now that we’ve reached this milestone, we’re excited about taking Maisy’s to the next level and incorporating our outside delivery service,” said Jade.
