DENNY PREMIER A

Mastergeeha 0 Killarney Celtic 5

KILLARNEY Celtic extended their new season 100% record to five games with a comfortable win over neighbours Mastergeeha at Killbrean Park on Sunday.

Matt Keane (2), Danny Roche, Peter McCarthy and Steven McCarthy scored for the winners who have now moved up to joint second place in the table with Castleisland on fifteen points, two points behind fellow townies and table toppers Killarney Athletic.

Tralee Dynamos 2 Killarney Athletic 9

KILLARNEY Athletic moved three points clear at the top of the table after a facile win over Tralee Dynamos who look like they are staring relegation in the face this season.

It was almost the Shane Lynch show by Athletic as the razor sharp striker found the net of five occasions which is a record not many can aspire to. William Courtney bagged a brace while Jamie Doolan and Tony Brosnan completed the rout for the winners.

Shane Lowth and Przemyslaw Skrzypczak scored for Tralee Dynamos.

Castleisland 0 Listowel Celtic 0

NEITHER side could find the net in this game and Listowel Celtic will probably be happiest with the result as it moves them towards mid table and the result means Castleisland lost ground on the leaders Killarney Athletic but they are joint second with Killarney Celtic just two points adrift.

DENNY PREMIER B

Tralee Celtic 2 Killorglin FC 0

TRALEE Celtic were in action on Monday night at Mounthawk Park and they got the better of Killorglin in a good competitive game. Fergal Moynihan and Sean Maloney scored for the winners.

Mitchels Avenue 2 Tralee Celtic 1

THE big Tralee derby did not disappoint at Mounthawk Park on Sunday and in a highly competitive game Mitchels Avenue ended Tralee Celtic’s unbeaten record with a great 2-1 win. Lorcan Seymour scored both goals for the winners while Fergal Moynihan scored for Tralee Celtic.

This win moves Mitchels Avenue up into second place in the table but they are still ten points behind the leaders but importantly they have four games in hand.

Even at this early stage it looks as if Tralee Celtic are Mitchels Avenue will be the finalists in this division but Camp United, Killorglin and Castleisland are still in with a shout and perhaps there may be more twists and turns before the season is over.

Classic FC 1 Castleisland B 1

THE points were important for both sides in this game and for different reasons as a win would keep Castleisland in a strong position in the title race while a win for Classic FC would help to ease their relegation worries.

However, neither side got what they wanted as in a tight game the sides had to settle for a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw, Max Mugabe scored for Classic while Evan O’Brien was on the score-sheet for Castleisland.

Camp United 2 Rattoo Rovers 0

A BRACE of goals from Jack Farrell gave Camp United the three points and keeps them well in touch with the title contenders in the division, while this defeat keeps Rattoo at the foot of the table.

However, they have a good few games in hand and are capable of beating any side on their day and are well capable of securing enough points to survive relegation by the end of the season.
