Ireland’s top wedding award for Ballyseede Castle

-

BALLYSEEDE Castle has been named as Ireland’s Top-Rated Castle Wedding Venue of the Year by the Wedding Dates Awards. These awards are regarded as one of Ireland’s leading independent accolades which recognise the commitment, professionalism and outstanding service given to the Irish wedding industry.

Ballyseede Castle is a luxury 4-star venue and is Kerry’s only castle hotel hosting over 140 weddings a year. In spring 2017 ‘ The Orangery’, which is a new building linking to the castle was opened. Meanwhile, an additional 16 new rooms will open in spring 2018. Ballyseede Castle was also awarded 2 AA Rosettes earlier in the year for culinary excellence. The hotel is surrounded by stunning gardens set in over 30 acres with a dining area catering for 220 wedding guests.

“We are absolutely delighted to be voted Ireland’s Top-Rated Castle Wedding Venue of the Year,” said owner Rory O’Sullivan. “We would like to thank all the wedding couples who voted for us. Our wedding team do an outstanding job ensuring that every bride and groom have a memorable day,” he added.

Ballyseede Castle has successfully incorporated the kind of modern facilities that guests have come to expect, while also maintaining the castle’s authentic character. Rory said the award is also great news for Kerry in that it is an acknowledgment of what the county has to offer tourists.

Built in 1721, Ballyseede Castle is an Irish family owned and operated hotel and Rory’s wife - Marnie Corscadden - is from a family with a strong tradition of running castle hotels as the Corscadden’s also own Markree Castle in Co Sligo, Cabra Castle in Co Cavan, and Bellingham Castle in Co Louth.

Ciara Crossan is the CEO of Wedding-Dates and she said they are very proud to be able to showcase the Top Rated Venues on www.weddingdates.ie based on real reviews and testimonials from past couples.

“Marnie, Rory and all the events team at Ballyseede Castle work tirelessly year-round to ensure each and every wedding they host goes smoothly. The reviews they have from past couples are testament to that,” said Ciara.
