THIS is a fascinating division with any of six teams capable of making it to the decider. At present QPR are leading the way and would be regarded as favourites in the title race. They went close last season but just ran out of games at the end but this time round they should have a great chance. With Stephen Lehane at the helm they have been knocking on the door of success for a few seasons now and this could be the season they could lift silverware.

CG Killarney are also going very well and defeated Tralee Dynamos in the Munster Junior Cup. Darragh O’Regan has moulded a good side together who are playing very consistent this season and they should be in there with a chance of making the final if they keep bringing in the good results.

After a bit of a shaky start Ballyheigue Athletic have come good and are etching out some good results in recent weeks.

However, the team everyone should be looking out for is Athletico Ardfert who started the season poorly but now they are hitting peak form and will be among the title contenders by the end of the season. Beyond this Skeliga and Strand Road can’t be written off either.

In the relegation fight it looks like Sporting Listowel and Inter Kenmare B have a big fight on their hands to get out of the relegation zone while Ballyhar Dynamos are not out of the woods either but should be strong enough to move away from the relegation zone as the season progresses.

DIVISION 1B

3 1 3 1 2 4 2 4 6 18 17 13 11 10 10 8 5 0 THIS is another division that is difficult to figure out with 5 teams in the title race. To date Castlegregory who came down two divisions this season are looking a very impressive side and they will be one of the favourites to make it to the decider.

Under the leadership of Damien Finn the West Kerry side have come close to making the final last year and should reach their aspiration this season if they can keep their very consistent form so far this season going.

A young Park side should also be in with a great chance of making it to the final. The side has grown in stature as they got more games under their belt and will be in the title hunt by the end of the season.

Asdee Rovers are also going very well with a six-game unbeaten run but they went down to The Park in a recent game. They will have to improve their defending if they are to stay in the title race.

Windmill United are also in with a chance and are capable of beating any side on their day.

Down the bottom of the table Annascual/Inch United are really struggling while Castlemaine and Killarney Athletic B are in relegation difficulties also.
