RETIREMENT
The pupils , teachers, parents and former pupils of Mountcollins N.S. would like to wish Mary O Sullivan a long and happy retirement from her post of Dancing teacher which concluded before Christmas. In her 37 years at the school, Mary inspired confidence in the children especially in preperation for school concerts, Scór na Nóg competitions and various dancing competitions.
GAA NEWS
The groupings for the 2018 Intermediate football championship in Limerick was made at the recent county convention. Mountcollins are in group two with Castlemahon, Galbally, Galatee Gaels, Rathkeale and Gerald Griffins. Group one will have teams from Athena, Pallasgreen, Glin, Bruff Mungret and Claughaun.
GAA LOTTO
The numbers drawn in last weeks Mountcollins/Tournafulla GAA clubs lotto were 8, 13, 17 and 19. There was no winner of the jackpot prize. The winners for lucky dips were Henry Ward, Mallow, Margaret McGeehan, Tournafulla, Patsy Horgan, Cratloe and John Lyons, Mountcollins. The promoter prize went to Willie Hartnett. This weeks jackpot will be €2,500
MASS TIMES
The following are the Mass Times in the churches of the parish for next weekend. Thursday night mass in Mountcollins at 7pm, Friday Vigil Mass for the Feast of the Epiphany, Mountcollins 7.30pm, Tournafulla 7.30pm. The weekend mass times will be as usual, Saturday Tournafulla at 7.30pm and Sunday Mountcollins at 11am.

RAMBLING HOUSE
The first Rambling House session of 2018 will take place in The Heritage Centre, Scartaglen on Monday night next January 8th commencing at 8.30pm. As ever admission is free with a raffle and refreshments on the night. Everyone welcome. AFTERNOON OF PRAYER
John Delaney will be present for the first Afternoon of Prayer of 2018 in Our Lady of Lourdes Church Scartaglen on Sunday January 21st which will commence as always, with the Rosary at 2.30pm
BLOOD DONOR CLINIC
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) will hold a blood donor clinic in Castleisland Community Centre from 5pm-8pm on this Wednesday and Thursday evening January 3rd and 4th and all who can give blood would be more than welcome.
BASKETBALL BLITZ
Congrats to all basketball players and coaches from this locality who were successful at the 48th annual St. Mary’s Christmas Basketball Blitz held in Castleisland over the festive season.
GAA LOTTO DRAW
Scartaglen GAA Clubs Christmas Lotto Draw was held in Flemings Bar on Saturday night last December 30th. The jackpot was E2,000 and was not won. Numbers drawn were:20,21, 23, 27.
