Chairman remains in position for 2018 season

THE AGM of the West Kerry Board was held during the Christmas holidays in the Clubrooms of Dingle GAA at Páirc an Ághasaigh.
Delegates from all clubs in West Kerry attended. The meeting saw Muiris Ó Fiannachta remain at the helm as Cathaoirleach of Bord Chiarraí Thiar for the coming year and all officers were returned unopposed.
Before all delegates, Cathaoirleach Muiris Ó Fiannachta thanked all Officers, Team Managers and all West Kerry Clubs for their continued support during the year. Ó Fiannachta praised all West Kerry footballers for the manner in which they conducted themselves on the field of play and how they represented the wonderful sporting tradition of Gaelic Football in West Kerry.
Cathaoirleach Ó Fiannachta in his address thanked Paul Quinn and his management team for their great work with the West Kerry Senior Football Team that saw them reach a County semi-final and he believed that it would not be long before a West Kerry team won a County Championship.
Cathaoirleach Ó Fiannachta thanked all those that supported the West Kerry Board especially sponsors Lee Strand, O’Neill Sports, Dingle Bay Hotel, Dingle Cleaners and Paul Geaney.
Cathaoirleach Ó Fiannachta concluded his remarks with the hope that Kerry would win an All-Ireland Senior title in 2018.
Lee Strand West Kerry League
THE Lee Strand West Kerry League 2018 begins this weekend with last year’s winners Lispole playing Dingle in Lispole at 12 noon and Castlegregory playing Annascaul in Castlegregory on Sunday at 2pm (games may start earlier due to An Ghaeltacht All Ireland semi-final).

THE West Kerry Board would like to wish An Ghaeltacht the very best of luck in the AIB All-Ireland Club Intermediate Football Championship semi-final when they play Moy Tír na nÓg of Tyrone in Portlaoise on Sunday at 2pm.
