THREE Kerry start up companies are in the running to join a prestigious international accelerator programme.

The firms ViClarity, myAccessHub and Nasal Medical have been selected among 20 Irish companies who have qualified as finalists in the Bridge To Mass Challenge Competition.

The challenge is an international competition that aims to identify and accelerate top healthcare and life sciences star ups and connect them to the global market and Mass Challenge’s global network.

Since it was founded, the Mass Challenge network has raised over $2 billion in funding and provided support to 1,211 companies worldwide.

As part of the process, staff from the three Kerry firms will travel to Cork this month to take part in an intensive three day business bootcamp.

Ten of the 20 firms will qualify for another week long boot camp in Boston later this year.

From this two companies will be selected to go through to a second round of judging.

MyAccessHub provides technology solutions designed to help companies bring more people on the autism spectrum into the workplace.

ViClarity, based at Kerry Technology Park, provides its clients in the healthcare and financial services sectors with IT based solutions for governance, risk and compliance.

Nasal Medical is a Dublin based medical devices company that was founded by Brosna native Martin O’Connell.
