Meals on wheels men not fazed by storm

THERE was no job too big for the Meals on Wheels team over the course of Storm Emma as they travelled all over Kerry on Thursday and Friday, making sure the elderly and the vulnerable were well stocked up with food.

“We were out on the Thursday and the Friday and everyone that we had on our list, we covered then and anyone that we heard that had problems after this, we helped them out too,” said James Hussey, speaking to The Kerryman on Tuesday.

“We were out on the Friday morning and we doubled up on the food. We gave them the food for Friday and we also gave them the food for Saturday and Sunday as well. Everyone was well covered. We were flying it,” James finished.
