St Michaels / Foilmore 1-8

PLAYED on a pitch in good condition despite all the snow that fell, St Michaels / Foilmore got the first score after four minutes.

On the sixth minute Barry Dwyer equalised with a point from a free. One minute later Jamie O’Sullivan sent over a 45-metre free. Adam Dwyer scored a great point from a free on the wing, followed by a free from Barry Dwyer on the 19th minute Seán O’Sullivan scored a point from play.

This was Waterville’s first point from play, two minutes later Michaels / Foilmore came back with a point from play. Waterville got a 45, but it fell short, on the 24th minute Ballyfoilm­ore got their third point. At half-time it was Waterville 0-5 Foilmore 0-3.

On the re-start, two minutes in, a free from Sean O’Sullivan resulted in a point. Four minutes later a point from a free for Michaels / Foilmore .The all important score was now to come on six minutes a high ball entered the Waterville square and ended up in the net, Waterville 0-6 St Mls/ Foilmore 1-3.

Ballyfoilm­ore were now playing with a strong wind and scored three points in-a-row. Barry Dwyer scored a point from a free, on 17minutes, St Michaels / Foilmore came back with a point from play followed quickly with a point from Sean O’Sullivan for Waterville.

St Marys 2-6 Renard 0-7

RENARD played St Marys on Sunday in Con Keating Park in dry cold conditions.

Paul O’Donoghue opened scoring with a goal from penalty ten minutes into the game , a point from Mark Sugrue put first quarter score Renard 0-1 St Marys 1-0. Points from Daniel Daly, Conor O Shea, Anthony Cournane and Paul O’Donoghue put half-time score Renard 0-1 St Marys 1-4.

Second half opened with three consecutiv­e points by Daragh Fitzgerald. A point from Daniel Daly put third quarter score Renard 0-4 St Marys 1-5. Renard continued to rally. Two Daragh FitzGerald points from frees put Renard 0-6 St Marys 1-5.

With ten minutes remaining Daragh O’Sullivan St Marys found the back of the net, Daniel Daly (01f ) and Daragh FitzGerald point from play put the final score at Renard 0-7 St Marys 2-6.

The South Kerry Senior League final will be between Dromid Pearses and Templenoe. The final is provisiona­lly scheduled for March 17/18. Final details to be announced.
