JIMMY WALSH RIP

The community was saddened at the news of the death of Jimmy Walsh of Ahanagran.

A very well known and highly respected member of te local community Jimmy passed away just a few months after retiring from work at Kerry Group in Listowel.

Jimmy spent most of his working life with Kerry Group wehre he was held in the highest regard by his working colleagues and management.

A man of warm and outgoing disposition Jimmy had a lot of health issues to deal with during his life requiring 2 kidney transplants and he showed great strength of character to make a satisfactory recovery from both operations.

Despite all he had to endure from a medical point of view Jimmy always kept the bright side out and got on with life just like everyone else.

Sadly just when he had retired from work and was looking forward to enjoying his retirement the more recent illness set in and he passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

Jimmy’s popularity was evidenced by the huge congregations that turned out for the removal of his remains from Lynch’s Funeral Home in Ballylongford to the local church and again at the Requiem Mass and internment to Lislaughtin Cemetery..

Deepest sympathy is extended to his wife, Mary sons, Seamus, Tony, Tommy, Noel, Gearoid and Adain, brothers, John Joe and Gerard Martin, sisters, Anne, Margaret, Nellie and Sally and all other family members and relatives.

The death also occured of Bridie Griffin (nee Bunyan) of Bromore, Ballybunion and formerly of Larha Asdee.
