FIXTURES; the 2019 hurling season begins on the weekend of March 17th with the opening round of the county league. Lixnaw play Kilmoyley in the first round and at the moment the likelihood is the game will be played on the Thursday March 15th at John Mitchels ground with a throw in time of 8-00pm. KERRY HURLERS; all Allianz league games in both hurling and football were cancelled last weekend because of the weather. However they are likely to go ahead this coming Sunday. Kerry are away to top of the table Westmeath where a win should see them qualify for the final. Good luck to the team and management. SYMPATHY; the death has occurred of Mary Hickey, Ballinageragh. Sympathy to her husband Andy and family Lisa, Catherine, Rosaleen, Marie & Andrew. May her gentle soul rest in peace. MEETING; next hurling club meeting will be this Friday evening March 9th in the clubrooms at 9.00pm.

ROSE OF TRALEE; Our annual search for eligible young bachelors between the age of 21 and 30 is underway for our International Rose Festival 2018. We require in the order of 70 young gentlemen to help us host the 2018 festival. We’ve been lucky in the past that a good number applied successfully from other GAA clubs such as yours. We would kindly ask that you share the call for applications with your colleagues and on your social media pages as the closing date is just over a month away.
