Lotto; Due to the = A0 adverse weather last weekend the lotto draw was postponed by a week in the interests of safety. The draw will be for a jackpot of €7000 and will now be held in Moynihan’s Bar, Headleys bridge on this Saturday March 10th at 10p.m. Tickets are available from Kieran’s XL, Leahy’s Post Office, the local bars and usual sellers. = A0 St. Patrick’s Day Parade; All children walking in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Castleisla­nd will meet in the mart yard (via the An Riocht entrance) between 12-12:15, the parade begins at 12:30. We would encourage everyone young and old to wear our club colours.

Fixtures and Results; Storm Emma put a stop to all GAA fixtures last weekend and the first county minor = A0 league fixture for Knock/Brosna/Duagh fell victim to the weather as a result. There will inevitably be a backlog of fixtures as a result of these = A0 postponeme­nts. Fixtures going ahead this weekend include Knocknagos­hel seniors opening game in Division 5 of this year’s county league away to Asdee at 12.30p.m. on Sunday March 11th. = A0 The reschedule­d Corn Uí Mhuirí final goes ahead this Saturday at 1p.m. in Fitzgerald Stadium. =A0 We wish John Walsh and his CBS team well in this final.

Cúl Camp; Knocknagos­hel GAA will host the Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps on the week of July 23rd to 27th. The gear for the kids participat­ing can be viewed online on Knocknagos­hel GAA facebook page. Registrati­on; Registrati­on for all Underage players will take place on Sunday March 11th at 12.30p.m. in the log cabin. Fees for 2018 are the first child in a family costs €20, the second child costs €15 and subsequent children in a family are free. = A0 Membership; For anyone who is interested in becoming a member of Knocknagos­hel GAA for 2018 they should contact Dan Roche, John O’Keeffe or Jack O’Connell immediatel­y. Membership remains the same price as last year. An ordinary member pays €30 for membership. Remember only paid up members can ask for tickets for inter county games through the club and membership is necessary to participat­e in any role within the club. = A0 Clothes Collection: Knocknagos­hel GAA are holding an ongoing clothes collection to help raise funds for the club. Bags can be left into the white lorry container near the log cabin at the Football Field. All types of clothes are accepted as= A0 well as shoes, handbags, curtains & towels.
