Duagh hosts its first ever parade

-

DUAGH is calling all up to the village for Saturday as it hosts its first ever St Patrick’s Day parade.

The big move is the work of the vibrant Duagh Development Association, who now expect in excess of 30 floats in the inaugural parade given the extent of the reaction they’ve received since announcing the event. “This is another fundraiser idea by the Association to raise funds for the upcoming Fr Pat Moore memorial on the May Bank holiday weekend,” Association member Sandra Maher said. “A donation from this event is also being given to the maintenance of the defibrillator in Duagh village. Everyone is welcome on the day to support this fun event,” Sandra said urging everyone out in their green finery to make it a memorable start to the patriotic parading in Duagh. Ring (087)6718377 to find out about entering floats.
