Male opposition to abortion can’t be dismissed as misogyny or a desire to control women

-

SIR. Some women in the pro-choice movement resent men expressing a pro-life opinion on abortion. In their view, such men are either misogynists, or want to control womens’ bodies. The truth is much simpler; most men are genetically programmed not to engage in, support, or condone the harming of women or children. Issues like murder, domestic violence, verbal abuse, rape, sexual assault, abortion, incest, and paedophilia are complete anathema to most men.

Some people might ask why would men be opposed to abortion? Whether it takes place at 10 weeks or 30 weeks, abortion is a two-stage procedure. Stage one requires the child to be killed in a premeditated and cold blooded manner, either by pill or lethal injection. Some people insist on calling this a medical procedure but strangely enough are most reluctant to undergo the procedure themselves. Stage two of the abortion is removing the dead child’s remains from the womb either by induced miscarriage, dismemberment, or induced labour. In a lot of cases the bodies are disposed of in a bio-waste incinerator.

It is therefore quite understandable why a lot of men want nothing to do with abortion; it goes completely against their nature. Only the gullible would fall for abortion being dressed up as choice, medical care, termination of pregnancy, etc. For a lot of men pregnancy is something to cherish and protect, not desecrate and destroy.

Sincerely,

Henry Gaynor,
