MORIARTY’S CENTRA UNDER 11

AS usual there was very little between any of the teams with action in all five divisions – Premier and Division 1 North and South and Division 2.

Indeed there were a number of draws including between Park and Tralee Dynamos and Fenit and Castleisland. There were narrow wins for Inter Kenmare, Killorglin, Killarney Athletic, Dingle Bay Rovers, Listowel Celtic, Killarney Celtic and Fenit with good performances from Mastergeeha, Ballyhar, Iveragh United, LB Rovers and MEK.

DALY SUPERVALU UNDER 13

Premier

KILLARNEY Celtic extended their lead at the top of the Premier to three points following a 2-2 draw with St Brendan’s Park.

They lead Iveragh United by three points, but the South Kerry side are favourites to take the title as they have games in hand. It does look like it is between two as third placed Killarney Athletic lost 3-1 at home to Killorglin.

In the Celtic v Park game Luke O’Neill got both goals for the Hoops and Callum O’Sullivan and Dara Cunnane were on the mark for the Park while in the other game Stevie Gannon got two and Conor Hayes the other goal for Killorglin.

QUILLS WOOLLEN MILLS UNDER 14

Girls Premier

INTER Kenmare went joint top following a 4-2 win at Fenit. Inter took the lead early on before the home side levelled matters.

But it was the Kenmare girls that finished the half the stronger hitting two quick goals to lead 3-1 at the break. The second half proved to be a tighter affair with both sides scoring once each.

For Inter Kenmare Chloe Cremin hit a hat-trick and Grace Foley the fourth while Muireann O’Brien scored both goals for Fenit.

SUBWAY UNDER 12 INTER LEAGUE

IN the Subway Under 12 Inter League an understrength Kerry side lost out to Limerick County, while they won the development game 5-3. Josh Bowler (2), Sean Doolan, Barry Fitzmaurice and Kieran Clancy got the Kerry goals.
