GOOD NEWS

We bring you good news, people of Castlegreg­ory! Maura Cronin and Eileen O=92Grady have volunteere­d to run the Summer Festival. They deserve a lot of credit and a big thank you from all the people in the parish. They didn=92t just complain because we weren=92t going to have one, they volunteere­d to take charge. Thank you, ladies! We would hope that if they ask for help, you will oblige.

As for the rest of the summer the Community Council has an event or festival planned for every weekend. Come along to any and/or all events and enjoy yourselves. 2018 will be the year of =93The Summer-Long Festival=94.

More good news! The =93wavy wall=94 in the West End Hall will not be waving anymore. It has been fixed — hooray. Everyone can start using the hall again.

PARADE

The Annual St.Patricks Day Parade March 17th at 3pm: The starting point will be the furniture shop. The parade will continue down Strand Street to Main Street to Bowlers Corner to Spar Car Park. There will be music, a fundraisin­g bake sale in aid of the Ladies Gaelic Football Associatio­n, free tea, coffee and juice in the Clubrooms afterwards. Come along for refreshmen­ts, music and a bit of craic. There will also be a raffle to help defray the cost of the =93wavy wall=94 in the West End Hall.
