TIDY TOWNS WORKSHOP

A workshop for the Tidy Towns on invasive species will take place on Monday March 26th at The Family resource Centre at the John B Keane road in Listowel.Registrati­on at 7.15pm with teas and coffees on arrival and the workshop will commence at 7.30pm sharp.Kieran Cummins and Cathy Fisher will both be present for the proceeding­s.

KILLOCRIM SCHOOL

The primary school in Killocrim is having an opening day today( between 1pm2pm.Enrolment forms available now for boys and girls interested in attending the school.

BIRTHDAY BASH

Congratula­tions to the ever popular D J Kelly who celebrated his 50th birthday with a party at McCarthy’s bar .A large crowd of neighbours,friends and work colleagues including DJ’s mother who has herself reached the grand old age of ninety and his former primary teacher,Mary Barry who confirmed her former pupil never put a foot wrong in all his years at school.A barbecue in the pubs beer garden with lots of food and great music by Martin Behan ensured a great night. on Monday 5th March. The Knockanure GAA Football Club wish to express their deepest sympathies to the family of the late Jerry Brosnan, Moyvane GAA Club President. Jerry’s love of all things football was evident from his attendance to Moyvane games of Coiste na nÓg to senior level along with his many pilgrimage­s from Moyvane, Kerry to Croke Park in support of the green and gold. A true patron of the game. RIP.
