KERRY HURLERS
There was no joy for the Kerry senior hurlers as they lost to Westmeath in Mullingar on Sunday on a scoreline of 1-20 to 0-16. The game was in the balance until the final few minutes but it was Westmeath that finished the stronger. Daniel Collins and Paudie O’Connor were on the starting team, while Tom Murnane was introduced as a sub. Maurice O’Connor was also among the subs. This put an end to Kerry’s involvement in the league. Next up is the new Joe McDonagh cup in May for Kerry.
