TDA AGM

The AGM of Tarbert Development Association was held on Monday March 5. The Constitution and Rules were formally proposed and adopted. Chairman, Niall Fitzgerald detailed projects and achievements of the past twelve months. Treasurer, Suzanne Harrison detailed a comprehensive financial report which showed a slight deficit but all agreed it was a ‘value for money’ year.

In the election of officers for the coming year some new faces came to the fore. Outgoing Chairman, Niall did not seek re-election due to work commitments. Tributes were paid to him for his motivational and focused novel approach in the role, introducing new members with new ideas.

Architect, Brian Carey was elected to the Chair to be assisted by Johnny Mulvihill as Vice-Chairman. Joan Murphy was re-elected as Secretay to be assisted by Micheal Lanigan as Asst. Secretary. Joint Treasurers elected were Suzanne Harrison and Michelle Woods. Laura Lavery was elected as PRO. The 5 Committees with their respective heads are as follows:- Business Development–Maeve Holly, Tourism–Michelle Woods, Events / Festivals–Liz Burke and Micheál Lanigan, Tidy Towns and the Environment–Joan
