KERRY are safe in Division 1 for next year and have used this year’s league campaign to try out a number of newer players so overall it has been a positive campaign.
Our final game of the league is away to Tyrone next Sunday in Omagh at 3pm. Tickets are on sale in Centra, SuperValu and the Kerry GAA Store, Killarney. Admission is €15 for adults and for Under 16s admission is free and you can avail of the 20% discount if you purchase before midnight on Saturday.
As it stands after round 6, Kerry are in fifth place on six points. Dublin and Galway top the table with 11 points each, Monaghan and Tyrone are on eight and six points respectively.
Mayo, Donegal and Kildare are below Kerry and next weekend’s game between Mayo and Donegal will determine who will be relegated to Division 2.
The team to play Tyrone will be announced on Friday on the Kerry GAA website at 9pm.
Castleisland Mart Junior Preliminary Round
THERE were two preliminary games to be played last Sunday with the winners playing in the Junior championship and the losers going into the Novice championship, but both games were conceded.
As a result, Asdee will play in the Novice and Kilgarvan will play in the Junior Championship and Moyvane will go into the Junior and Knocknagoshel will go into the Novice Championship.
Credit Union County Football League
ROUND 2 of the Credit Union County Football Leagues go ahead next weekend. Round 1 saw wins in Division 1 for Spa, Beaufort, An Ghaeltacht, Kerins O’Rahillys and Killarney Legion, while Dr Crokes and Glenbeigh / Glencar shared the points.
In Division 2, Ardfert, Kilcummin, Desmonds, Milltown / Castlemaine, Na Gaeil and Kenmare Shamrocks got off to a winning start. In Division 3 full points went to Keel, Waterville, Brosna, Annascaul, St Pats Blennerville and Dr Crokes.
In Division 4, Beale, St Michaels /Foilmore, Fossa and Tarbert top the table with two points followed by Castlegregory, Gneeveguilla, Renard and Cromane on one point. In Division 5 Group A & B Scartaglin, Austin Stacks, Churchill, Asdee, Tuosist, Moyvane and Duagh are all on two points.
All home club PROs are asked to send a short, balanced match report to their coordinator after the game – the coordinators are as follows division 1 Eileen Clifford, Division 2 Eileen Casey, Division 3 Joan McGillycuddy and Division 5 Jack Hennessy.

Cúl Camps
KELLOGG’S GAA Cúl Camps provide boys and girls – between the ages of 6 and 13 – with an action-packed and fun-filled week of activity during the summer holidays which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Gaelic Games.
Activities are player-centred with a Games Based approach and a strong emphasis being placed on personal development and well-being.
Activities are also organised in an age-appropriate manner with a view to: Optimise learning, Enhance friendships, Improve physical and psychological qell-being and promote school and club links.
The cost is €60 for the first child; €50 for the second child; €40 for the third and subsequent children. For children attending a second camp, without gear, the cost is €35.
