LADIES FOOTBALL

Annascaul Ladies Football would like to thank everyone who supported their fundraising Whist Drive held in Annascaul last Wednesday night. A big thank you to those who travelled from outside the parish, especially to those who came from ‘ Below the Hill’ to support our joint senior team, Annascaul-Castlegregory - míle buíochais Catherine!

BIRTHDAY GREETING

Birthday wishes go out to Livia polanczyk, Slieve who will be celebrating her birthday this week.

IFA

Pat O Shea Kerry IFA Chairperson of the Hill Committee has received a number of calls in the last week about dogs worrying sheep and in two cases where sheep have been killed. Mr. O Shea is now advising farmers of their right to shoot dogs that are found worrying sheep .

Mr O Shea says there are far too many dog owners not taking the responsibility that goes with owning a pet as serious as they ought to. There are between 300 to 400 reported attacks in Ireland each year with losses of upwards of 4000 sheep.

Farmer’s take seriously the health and wellbeing of their flock and as much as they dislike shooting dogs they will do so . So please be a responsible dog owner and insure that your pet is under your control at all times day and night.

FLORALARTISTS

Annascaul Floral Artists And Garden Club Meeting 3 April at 7.30pm in Community Centre Annascaul. Bring some flowers, twigs, reeds, bits and bobs, wood frame or make your own frame from any medium and we will create a floral picture. Reward ourselfs with Tea/Coffee and Bakes. €3 entrance fee.

ICA meets at 8pm every Thursday in Annascaul Community Centre. New members are always welcome.

Our Lotto was not won again this week, meaning the jackpot is now €9,200. Congratulations to our €40 winners.
