BARDIC FESTIVAL:

The Ballydonog­hue Bardic Festival is taking place in the parish this weekend, Thursday - Sunday, March 22nd - 25th. The inaugural festival kicks of tomorrow night, Thursday, March 22nd with Mass as Gaeilge in St Teresa’s Church at 7.30p.m. There is a very exciting line-up of workshops for adults and children during the festival. Contact 086-8451263 as soon as possible if you need details or to register for a workshop. Pay on the day. Official opening on Friday, March 23rd at The Thatch at 8.00pm. MC, Gabriel Fitzmauric­e supported by Billy Keane, Tony O’Shea and Claire Keane Fennell, followed by Lisselton Trad Group. Free concert showcasing the vast array of local talent, on Saturday night, March 24th at Tomáisín’s Function Room at 8.00pm. Caife agus Cómhra which is very much a tongue-in-cheek Fun event of Coffee and Scones as Gaeilge with Joe Murphy on Sunday morning at The Thatch. If you have one word of Irish or twenty words or even no word at all, you are very welcome to attend.
