Fairy AT a time when many people are concerned about children spending too much time on electronic devices, a Dingle Camphill Community puppet show was able to demonstrate that simple entertainment can still capture the attention of little minds

The puppet show ‘ The Holy Man’, which carried a strong environmental message, was staged in front of a packed audience of parents and wide-eyed children in An Diseart on Sunday afternoon.

Narrated by Darach Ó Murchú the show was created by Tonni Lemmens who, alongside Christoph Jensen, operated the puppets. The puppets included a monk, a boat and various cretures as well as Mother Earth. In the story the monk travels across the ocean and brings back a message about protecting the environment.

In keeping with the theme, each child was given a small earth-filled pot and some seeds to take away and plant at home.
