THE people of Kerry are getting ready to dance their socks off this Friday for one of the great causes of the county – the Kerry Cork Health Link Bus.

And it’s the Killarney Macra branch that is hosting a dance in aid of the vital service on Friday night at the Torc Hotel. The bus is used as a transport for people undergoing treatment for cancer from Kerry and parts of west Cork to Cork University Hospital, The Mercy, The Bons Cork and the Cork Clinic five days a week, free of charge, ensuring access to vital treatments.

The benefit dance takes place on Friday, April 6, at 8pm in Torc Hotel Killarney.

The night will see Tom Jive give people jiving lessons before the incredible band the OC kick off the night of dancing. Tickets are just €10 and are available on the night. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards this incredible bus service for the people of Kerry and Cork. The Kerryman.

The workshop will include breathing difficulties, diction, posture, confidence and much more; the styles of song that will be covered on the day include ballads, musicals and contemporary.

The workshop will take place on Saturday April 14 at 2pm and again on Saturday at April 21 in the Killarney School of Music, located at the Tesco roundabout on Park Road in Killarney.

The workshop will cost €15 per person and places can be booked by contacting Mary on 0879222753.
