Kerry directors new film available to pre-order
‘CON’, the feathure film produced by Tralee filmaker and director, Bertie Brosnan, is now available to pre-order internationally on ‘Vimeo On Demand’.
Bertie, who has garnered a good reputation as a filmmaker in recent years with films such as ‘Sineater’, ‘Brackenmore’ and ‘Jacob Wrestling With The Angel’, wrote, produced, directed and starred in ‘Con’.
The film tells the tale of Con, a relatively successful filmaker and actor as he leaves rehab to join a documentary film about him being re-united with his estranged father after 25 years.
With emotions running high however and with different agendas on the table, things do not go exactly according to plan.
Bertie is busy this week arranging a trip to Cannes, where a number of distributors are previewing his film; while in Cannes, Bertie hopes that he will be able to sell ‘Con’ and gather additional support for his upcoming ‘Misty Button’ project, which he working on alongside fellow Tralee native, Seanie Surge.
“It was a wonderful experience creating this film. The budget may only have been €7,000 but I was able to harness the creative powers of the small crew and the wonderfully talented cast,” said Bertie.
“Shooting in my hometown has proved to be effective on two occasions now. Sineater is already distributed worldwide and now Con will be available to the mass-marketplace as well,” he finished.

It’s official release is tomorrow, April 12. There is a special 30 percent discount on the first 500 sales.
