CROSS COUNTRY

Well done to our athletes last Sunday who participated in the cross country event in Beaufort. It has been a number of years since Duagh/Lyre had an entry in this event and we were delighted that five athletes took part. This event is the most scenic event of the year set with the beautiful backdrop of Carrantouhil. A tough and testing course with a hill before the finish. Congrats to Luke Sheridan who finished fourth just one place off a team finish for a mixed u12 team. Well done to all our participants James and Noelle Dillon, Odhran Doorley, Dylan Buckley and Luke Sheridan we hope you enjoyed the experience.

QUIZ

Well done to our quiz participants on Good Friday evening who took part in the County Community Games quiz in the River Island hotel in Castleisland. Outside the top four spots but they enjoyed the event and participating, the group scored a perfect 10 in round three. Great to see they continued our Healthy event campaign while taking part in the event. Well done to Halle O Sullivan, Tara Galvin, Joshua Quilter, Eimear Buckley, Niamh Buckley and Aoibhínn Harte. Thanks to the parents for travelling and supporting the team and helping them with quiz questions.

TAG RUGBY

Next Sunday Duagh/Lyre Community Games have two teams taking part in the U11 and U14 mixed Tag Rugby at Tralee IT. Best of luck to both teams, more details next week.
