Ladies “Get into Golf Taster sessions” are back again this year. If you ever wanted to give the game of golf a go, this is the ideal platform. Lessons with a PGA profession­al, equipment provided. The Senior team under manager Mark Tuite had a resounding victory over the Ceann Sibeal team by a margin of 8 holes in the Kerry Shield last weekend. Peter Hannon & Ian Spillane won 2 up, James O’Neill & Alan MacSweeney won 6 up, Gerry Vaughan & Donal Considine finished all-square. They will now face Castlegreg­ory in the next round.

The Boys team due to play in the first round of the Youth’s Junior Fred Daly competitio­n on Sunday against Berehaven at Kenmare were awarded a walk-over as Berehaven were unable to field a team, they will now be taking part in the second round against Doneraile, which will be played at Kenmare this Sunday. Fundraiser: The fundraisin­g scramble for Tom Hopkins was held last weekend and was a great success. It was very well supported by club members and by Tom’s friends from north Kerry and the proceeds collected really surpassed all expectatio­ns.
