DENNY DIVISION 1B

Listowel Celtic B 3 Killarney Athletic B 0

LISTOWEL Celtic strengthened their chances of making the league final after a good win over Killarney Athletic B a win which moves them up to 3rd in the table.

Stephen McCarthy (2) and Darragh Mackessey scored for the Fealesiders.

Asdee Rovers 1 Castlegregory 2

CASTLEGREGORY took a big step towards reaching the final with a hard earned win over Asdee Rovers at Mounthawk Park on Sunday. Maurice Slattery put Castlegregory ahead with an early goal but this was cancelled out before half time with a Joe Lynch goal for Asdee.

Castlegregory were carrying the bigger theat in the second half and Slattery put them back in the lead again with a fine strike. Asdee did not help their cause by having a player sent off. They piled on the pressure towards the end of the game and should have got an equaliser missing a great chance in the final minute of the game.

This win moves Castlegregory up to second in the table a point behind table toppers The Park and with their destiny in their own hands they should reach the decider.
