KERRY made the long trip to the sunny South East on Saturday but they returned empty handed going down heavily to a very strong Waterford side.

They fell into arrears early in the game through a Leven Saraffil goal and then a brace of goals in the 18th and 31st minutes by Greg Waters and another goal from Kyle Cuddy left it 4-0 at the interval.

Cuddy scored twice again in the second half in the 55th and 71st minutes to complete his hat trick in a game the Kerry lads will want to erase from their memories quickly. They will be hoping to bounce back next Sunday when they play Bray Wanderers at Mounthawk Park with a 2pm kick off.
