LOCAL IMPROVEMENT SCHEME

Residents of Scart and Boula, Knocknagoshel welcome the allocation of 20,885 Euro to the Local Improvement Scheme (LIS) funding. The money will go to the repair and upgrading of private roads, bohereens and laneways that would not normally fall within the control of Kerry Co. Council.

Since the scheme was abolished over eight years ago, due to austerity cuts, these roads leading to houses and farms fell into a deplorable state of repair. Essential repairs brought about by this new funding will provide a lifeline for people living in the Knocknagoshel Area as it will directly improve access to and from their houses and farms, thus enhancing the quality of rural life for all the residents of Scart and Boula
